Raft Building " Great Fun"
Barrels, planks, ropes and water are a recipe for a thorough soaking and great fun. The sheltered waters of the River Wye at Glasbury is a great place to spend a few hours building your own raft from the assortment of equipment available, once you have designed and constructed your raft your are ready to compete with against other teams.
Don't not worry if your raft earns the name Titanic!!, the safety marshals will be close to rescue you and what remains of the raft

A great session is guaranteed, ideal for social groups, families, Schools and is ideal for a corporate event and can be mixed with another exciting activity.

Kayak Taster Days
These kayak taster day's are good for those looking to learn or improve your skills? our kayaking introduction day are designed for beginners and those with some knowledge. Giving you an introduction to the art of paddling a closed cockpit kayak. You will spend the morning
learning new skills and developing correct paddling techniques. In the afternoon, the coach will lead you on a short expedition down river to put your newly found skills into practice. Throughout our kayak taster days the emphasis is placed on safe, enjoyable fun through progressive learning and confidence building.

Open Canoe Taster Days
Canoing trips are great for groups looking for a fun day out with a qualified instructor. Our instructors will equip you with safety equipment such as buoyancy aid and paddle. After a safety talk you will soon be on the water, practicing paddling in a straight line, turning and stopping. After a short practice your guide will then lead you down stream. Along the way he will teach you further skills, which will be handy for the games you will be playing!
Our Canoing trips are great for groups looking for a fun day out whilst under the supervision of qualified instructors.

Cost 65.00 per person. Further discouts for groups and mid-week bookings

Canoe & Kayak Hire Explore the River Wye

We have sit-on kayaks and the classic open canoes which will carry carry two or three persons (or two adults and two small children on approval).
Al canoe hire takes place on the river Wye from Glasbury to to Hay on Wye for half day or to
Whitney for a full day. You can also hire the canoes and paddle down stream for up to five day "full on" expedition (from Glasbury to Tintern Abbey on the edge of the forest of Dean).

Cost from £20.00 per person for a half day hire or £30.00 per person for a full day hire.

BCU Star Awards

Want to learn more about paddling whether its in a Kayak or Canoe. We offer Paddle Sport Awards for BCU 1, 2, 3 Stars.
These awards are
designed to provide the fundamentals for paddlers first session. The BCU One Star is a flat water award that demonstrates an individual has basic boat control and foundation skills. The one star can be taken in any kind of paddle sport craft
The BCU Two Star is an improvement award that helps paddlers develop fundamental paddle sport skills on flat water. The emphasis is on gaining a breadth of experience, creating the desired movement of the boat and developing an understanding into how the paddle, boat and water interact.

White Water Rafting

Wet & Wild Adrenaline pumping white water!
A must for those who enjoy getting wet and love white-knuckle rides. From the tranquil head waters and scenic gorges of the River Wye to the thrills and spills of the thundering white water of Hell Hole! Rafting takes place on the upper reaches of the River Wye, under the supervision of experienced raft guides, who will prepare you to skillfully tackle some of Wales' most demanding white water sections. Trips cover up to 15 miles, encountering several grade 2-4 rapids. Including the infamous "hell hole".

White Water Kayaking

Experience the thrills of running white water rivers,
We have great rivers such as the Wye and Usk with their classic white water sections, all close to our centre giving us the flexibility to choose a river that suits the individual groups requirements and maximize our time on the water! Our two day course is a great introduction to moving water. Our white water kayaking weekends are for those for those who have some experience in kayaking and should be up to two star standard or who have some previous kayaking experience. we provide wet suits and waterproofs to help keep you warm. We offer two types of courses:- introduction to moving/white water and intermediate white water.

Discover White Water Canoing
Two days designed to introduce you to the thrills and spills of white water. You'll cover everything from clothing and equipment to foundation white water skills. By the end of the course you will have tackled your first white water and have the confidence to go on to book on our full White water Course.

Previous Experience: You should be confident flat water peddler with the ability to maneuver your craft with ease

Micro Rafting "Hot Dogging"

Hot Dogging is a great way to experience the excitement of moving white water - a must for those who enjoy getting wet and love white-knuckle rides. From the tranquil head waters and scenic gorges of the River Wye
The hot dogs carry up to three people, sitting you lower to the water. Paddling these inflatable rafts are fun and exciting as you follow your river guide through Wales most demanding grade 2 to 3 white water including the infamous "hell hole".
